Let me give you something real, that you can use...buying these jeans is not worth the money. These jeans are poorly made, they don't fit “our” hips and the service is slow. As a urban professional, I look for classy apparel and this is not it. They should want me as a repeat happy customer, but that was not the case. I’ll give you two examples with this product.
1. Online shopper (me). I wear a size 10 normally, but decided to purchase a 12 so I wouldn’t have to send it back and get re-charged for shipping. Wrong! Still too tight! I decide to give them another shot and return the jeans for a size 14. Whoa. That’s not cute at all. In the end, I paid for shipping twice and had to pay a restocking fee. Not worth the time or effort. And you can forget about trying to reach customer service….they are either not there or too busy trying justify their substandard product.
2. Store shopper (my best friend). She wears a size 12 normally. She finally found some jeans at a Macys and of course, GAP GAP GAP. This company’s slogan is “no GAP” in the back for the big bootie. In the end, the sista didn’t buy the jeans.
My opinion….stick with what you know looks good on the ebony bootie….Baby Phat! Give us a quality product and we will come.
PZI Jeans Testimonals: http://pzijeans.com/testimonials.html
This is really surprising that anonymous had such a bad experience. I on the other hand have had nothing but great experiences with PZI Jeans. When I saw their ads about Finally Jeans that Fit, I thought "yeah right". Well I went into Macys and saw them and tried them on. I was blow away that they fit my body like they were made for me! I have a small waist and fuller hips, I have never ever ever been able to buy jeans off the rack and not alter the waist.
I personally love the denim and the styles. I choose not to wear Baby Phat and Apple Bottoms on my rear, PZI Jeans are clean and compliment my lifestyle as a professional woman. I was so excited when I tried the jeans on, I called my family and friends and they all were excited about how great the jeans fit.
I have a very small waist and a very ample rear and the jeans did not gap at all. I did not have an on-line experience, because I buy in the store and try them on. I usually am an 8 or 10 in PZI Jeans, just depends on the fit I like. I am 5'9" and can never find jeans long enough. They have 3 inseams and the 36" inseams worked great for me.
I have 6 pair of PZI Jeans and I get compliments everywhere I go. I support the jean company at least they are trying to offer denim for my body type.
I had to go down in my normal size because the jeans are already cut for a smaller waist. One of my sisters does not have a smaller waist and the jeans did not work on her. When they say hourglass curves, I think that is the key.
Anyway, I support the brand and Thank God for my PZI Jeans!
I agree with Coco, my personal experience with PZI was totally different. I am also a career woman and I wear a variety of jeans. When I first purcahsed a pair of PZI I was amazed that they fit me as well as they did to the point I bought a pair. I do not know about the ebony bootie thing but I have a small waist and hips, PZI are the first jeans to fit me just right. I also own a denim suit by PZI and get a lot of compliments.
As for your online shopping experience that is pretty standard so it is unfair to blame PZI. I order from Victoria Secret regularly and dred when I get something that does not fit properly or have to return it. The fees and hassle is almost too much. I think that is part of the online process.
Too Sexy in DC!
I have to agree with Coco and toosexy. I LOVE PZI jeans! I love the jeans, the quality, the way they fit and there's not ONE con I can think of with these jeans (except they sell out of my size TOO fast). I have four pair and look forward to purchasing more. I am a career woman as well and these jeans are very classy and I get tons of compliments.
I don't wear Baby Phat as they do not fit my ample behind and thighs and small waist. Also as a career and older (being in my lower 30's) don't appeal to having that CAT on my butt or anywhere on me. I'll leave that to the teenagers.
I did have the online experience since I am not in an area where they sell them in stores. So I also had to deal with PZI's customer service and as toosexy said, it comes with the territory when purchasing any product online. I actually had a very pleasant experience with the representative that I spoke with. She followed through on my issue from start to finish unlike other companies that pass the buck or could care less than to treat you as a human or individual. Keep doing what you're doing PZI! Making these jeans FOR US that fit like we need them!!!!
I will have to agree with anonymous
to an extent.
In October 2006, I purchased a pair of PZI jeans from Macy’s in ATL while visiting. I loved the jeans and was feeling on Top of the World to have finally found a pair of jeans that actually fit me correctly….I was satisfied...“HOWEVER”
In December 2008, I decided to order two pair of jeans from PZI online, because I live in Los Angeles and it’s impossible to find them here. Macy’s does even sell them here. I spent a total of $168 on my online order for two pair of jeans. When I received my order and tried the new jeans on, I noticed that the fit was totally different than the first couple of pair that I had purchased. They fit “ETREMELEY TIGHT”, not to mention, the cut was different than before. Mind you, my old jeans still fit me fine and I don’t wear them very often.
OK, so rather than returning them, (which I knew it would be a hassle)I was in the process of trying to lose a few inches anyway, I decided to keep them and wear when I lost an inch or two. Now it’s January 2009, and finally, I lost a couple of inches and get ready to wear the jeans that I just purchased for $79. I put them on this time and noticed one of the outer leg’s seam was so loose that it was literally coming apart before my eyes. I turn the jeans inside-out to see why one leg is opening and notice that one leg is missing the main seam and only has ONE WEAK SEAM, compared to the other leg, that has a double seam. This pair of jeans was clearly "DEFECTIVE" I contacted PZI regarding this matter and about a week later, they sent me a UPS call tag to return & exchange the jeans, now I have to wait for them to send me a new pair of jeans after spending so much money..
I am extremely dissatisfied with my direct experience with PZI, however, I'm not saying that I won't puchase from them again, just Not online. I wouldn't encourage anyone else to purchase from them online either. Make sure you go into a store try the jeans on before buying. They are NOT True to Size. ALSO, Inspect the jeans for DEFECTS before paying $79 – $109 for a pair of PZI jeans.
Now, I don't and won't wear Baby Phat. I'm 34 years old and feel that Baby Phat is a younger person's jean, plus, I'm sure they won't fit by body-type. Smaller Waist, Thicker Thighs and Rear.
